Hello and welcome once again EL Fans and Followers,

Well, yesterday saw the end of the EL 2012:2 Shoot and another day jam packed with exciting models and exciting looks; especially one that we’ve not featured in the blog so far…

This ‘darker’ look promises to be one of the really huge directional trends to come from the catwalks this season, and as always, we’re bringing it to you first here at Schwarzkopf Professional’s Essential Looks.

We believe that one of the fascinating elements of this look is the carapace’esq colour quality of the hair. In the attached photos you can see exactly what we mean; with shimmers of blues, radiating through the almost jet black models hair.

On a side note, remember our beautiful asian model, Gwen, and our stunningly tall, beautiful model, Jessica, both these young ladies promise to be huge catwalk sensations in years to come. Remember that you saw her here first…

However, these will not be the only firsts this coming season. Now, hopefully you all know us well enough by now to know that we’re not in the habit of giving too much away, however, we can tell you that this season, there are going to be a lot of new and exciting developments happening with Essential Looks and if you want to know more, you’ll need to stay tuned in…

So, we’ll say goodbye for now…

Only joking, we wouldn’t leave without giving you the information we know you’ve been so desperate to learn…

Okay, drum roll please…………

This season, we would like to introduce:

Eccentric Heritage –
Need we say more. Classic Tweeds and Country Styling with a contemporary twist. Very feminine and perfect for longer hair.

60′s Twist –
Representing the ever-popular Retro corner, this look has been growing for a little while and now at a point of perfection; Cool, Young and versatile.

Oriental Express –
A look we first hinted at on the Hong Kong Catwalks two season’s ago; now embraced the world across. East meets West with classic motifs, prints and fabrics.

Neo Couture –
As featured today, a look with touches of previous directions including Dark Angels, Tom Boys, Road Warriors, Punk Goddesses and Dark Amazons. Black is Back.

Well, now it really is goodbye for now.

Hello again EL Friends and Followers,

What a fantastic shoot this has proved to be, truly truly remarkable.

Now on the home strait, we’re working at full pace with the last models and last looks to ensure that this coming collection will be the BEST EVER ESSENTIAL LOOKS…

Hopefully, when you look at all the photos that we’ve been uploading, you’ll agree.

Yesterday, we were working on a look that loyal blog followers may recognise as different from those already hinted at so far.  Now, obviously we’re not going to be giving away any details as to what that look might be just yet, however, we can tell you that it is another big look and one with it’s roots firmly in the past…

Any ideas?

Hello again EL Fans,

Well, we’re moving into another week of EL production making sure that everything will be ready for the big launch in July.

With the photo shoot nearly finished, it’s hard to know which has been out favourite model or look. They’re all AMAZING!

In other news, now that we only have a couple of days left on the shoot, we’re getting even closer to revealing that magic list of looks that we will be following for the forthcoming collection, but as we still have a few days left, we’d like to throw it over to you and ask for your thoughts on what look directions you think will be big for next season. What do you think will be hot, and what will not?

Hello again EL Friends and Fans,

Well, what a day; more models, more styles, more looks and more excitement.

Yes, on Thursday, we moved onto another of the big directions that we’ll be following this year. Now, obviously we cannot tell you what that look is right now, however, we can tell you that this particular look promises to be massive and by that we mean massive.

Without doubt, this look was the most ubiquitous across all the catwalks of New York, London, Milan and Paris and significantly, in many respects one of the most diverse; allowing differing designers freedom in their interpretations. This in itself is perhaps one of the reasons for the huge representation across the catwalk and the reason that most of us will be wearing…Ooops. Nearly gave it all away then!

Wow. That was close. Well, for now, we’ll leave you with a few hints about the new, secret look.

Good Morning Dedicated Followers of Fashion,

Okay, today, we wanted to give you a little more of a hint into one of the directions you’ll have undoubtedly noticed beginning to develop from our shoot photos.

Yesterday we hinted round the use of prints and patterns across the catwalks for during the Autumn Winter 2012/13 catwalk shows; today, we’ll go a little further and begin to narrow that down.

As you’ll see from today’s sneak preview photos, although prints have been used by many designers to support all major directions this season, the prints that we are focussing on all have a slightly Oriental/East meets West feel to them. What could that mean…

Now, obviously we can’t currently say any more at the moment about what directions we will be following, however, hopefully this will whet your appetite and fuel your excitement a little more.

If you’re really good, we’ll give you some more hints tomorrow…

Good Morning EL Fans,

Today has been another busy and amazing day on the shoot.

By now, many of you will have noticed that the sneak preview images included in today’s post mark a change in style from those included yesterday. Okay, we’ll admit it; this is separate direction, but, for now, that’s all we can reveal…

However, Eagle-eyed readers out there will have already noticed some intriguing clues in our photos; prints. The Autumn Winter 2012/13 season has seen an explosion of prints on the runway. Such is their success that they have been used in the support of all the major trend directions. Everyone from Proenza Schouler, Lacoste, Marc Jacobs, Victoria Beckham, Peter Som and Comme des Garçons have all used prints to enhance their collections.

No real clues for you there then…

Maybe tomorrow we’ll give you another hint?

Welcome again EL Fans,

Well, what a week we have lined up for you here…

As mentioned, this week we will be shooting the new Essential Looks for Autumn Winter 2012/13, and what a season it is going to be.

Across the catwalks of New York, London, Milan and Paris this season saw the arrival of some truly amazing collections. However, the real significance this season was the sheer level of consensus that appeared to be reached by by designers; big and small, about the directions that are going to be hot this Winter.

Now we know that you’re desperate for us to tell you what those looks are, but you’ll have to wait just a little longer until we reveal all.

In the mean time, we’ve included some more photos from our day on the shoot and included the tiniest of glimpses into one of the looks.
