PHEW !!!!! – 18 days and 16 models later the Essential Looks Colour Buzz Collection for Spring/ Summer 2013 is now finished.

Lucette was our final model today for the trend direction GLAM CHIC and she fits perfectly into this trend (as you will see when the EL book is published).

We hope you have enjoyed following the collection each day so, until next time

The penultimate day of the Essential Looks collection shoot and today we have Jessie for GLAM CHIC and April for the trend story, ELECTRIC YOUTH.

Once again both Lesley and Tyler delivered amazing work and Sabine our super talented EL Collection photographer shot some beautiful work.

15 models down and 1 to go tomorrow and our collection will be complete and what a fantastic collection it is with something to excite all hairdressers and their clients.

The Essential Looks Colour Buzz Collection will have it’s global launch in the vibrant city of Berlin on Sunday March 3rd 2013.

The four trends within our collection are:

MONO MODS – Rounded fringes/ clean contours – blondes with contrasting shades.

WHITE ANGLES – Graphic lines and panels – violet, reds and copper colours.

ELECTRIC YOUTH – Contrasts of texture & shape – natural, gold & pastel colours.

GLAM CHIC – Modern dressings & textures – different shades of brown colours.

WOW !!!! What a great day, both of our models Kat and Ani really showed out for the camera today.

Kat looked a cooler than cool MONO MOD whilst ANI really did put the spark into ELECTRIC YOUTH.

When we look at the daily print offs on our boards we can really see the body of work coming together.

This Essential Looks collection will have something for everyone from strong directional looks to softer interpretations, short hair looks , mid length looks and long length looks, all of which are inspired by the International Catwalks yet still firmly focused on commercial reality for salon clients.

Real, attainable fashion focused haircuts and haircolours…Essential Looks is always keeping it real……….with attitude and style.

We were really excited with yesterday’s results, the pictures looked amazing and today was equally as inspiring.

Lou Lou for WHITE ANGLES and Lottie for MONO MODS are today’s models.

Lou Lou’s hair is a fantastic smouldering fusion of Igora Royal coppers whilst Lottie’s colour is an amazing all over high lift Igora Royal blonde.

With Lou Lou on set today finishes our first trend direction with all four WHITE ANGLES models photographed and filmed and, whilst we may be biased, it really is a stunning trend with superb colouring and cutting techniques from Lesley and Tyler.

Lottie is our third MONO MOD model and tomorrow we have Kat who is our Catwalk model in MONO MODS who will complete the MONO MOD section.

Three more days shooting and filming and our collection will be finished. We cannot wait to bring it all to life and to share the trends and looks with you all.

Good morning, afternoon or evening EL Blog followers, depending where you are in the world !!!

Today we have our third WHITE ANGLES model, Anna. White Angles is all about strong graphic haircuts and colours from the red, violet or copper tonal groups.

The new concept format we are introducing throughout this collection is working really well as it delivers different hair length variations which is great for stylist/client consultation conversations.

Just to explain in a little more detail what we mean by this, we have a “hero” Catwalk model in each of our 4 trend stories and this Catwalk model basically inspires 3 alternative hair length variations, short, medium and long, all of which are more salon focused and which can be adapted to suit individual clients in the salon.

Anna our model is the Salon short variation in the White Angles trend. All will become clear when you see the visuals within the Essential Looks book….but for that you have to wait a little longer……until March 3rd 2013 to be precise in the vibrant city of Berlin.

Just as yesterday we have another Electric Youth day in the studio with our model, Chloe.

A brilliant day, the collection is really beginning to come together.

Oooops !! We forgot to tell all of you intrepid EL Blog followers on Sunday that we were working on a Top Secret Brand shoot yesterday but today we are back on track with all things Essential Looks.

Today we have one model, Tanja and she is in the Electric Youth trend direction. Electric Youth is as the name suggests is a very young orientated trend, these cooler than cool kids exude attitude, are aloof and indirectly influence not only their peer group but also so many top designers look to these opinion formers for ideas for their own fashion collections.

Many designers over the years have paid homage to street fashion and in essence this style could be described as from “sidewalk to catwalk” as what starts out on the street as an individuals fashion statement can influence fashion designers creative thoughts.

The haircuts within this trend are strong, individual shapes with the hair colour direction featuring tones and shades from the Naturals, Golds and Pastels.

A trend direction which has modernity and freshness and definitely very Essential Looks.
